Sunday Morning Sunday School with Pastor Rob
It’s hard to describe the Sunday class led by Pastor Rob. It is part presentation, part discussion, and part comedy routine. Since Pastor Rob started in November 2014, he has led several classes, including:
A 5 week exploration of this book we call the Bible. Where did it come from? Who wrote it? What is the difference between the Old and New Testament (besides one is older than the other one)?
The Book of Revelation
A detailed study of the last book of the Bible – the book that Pastor Rob calls the “Book of Hope.” Sound like something different than what you heard before? So did the people attending the class! This six week course (which went 9 weeks because we had a great time going off topic) explored both what this book is and what it is not.

The latest class. We are exploring a variety of religions. How are they similar? How are the different? How are they related?
Come join us every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Stock Hall.
The young adults and young families of St. Paul meet every Sunday in the Nursery Room to review and discuss the readings from that current Sunday’s worship service. Each lesson reviews the scripture readings and includes prompting questions related to lifestyle happenings and current events. The meeting space is attached to the children’s Sunday School class to encourage free flowing instruction from parent to child.
The children’s Sunday School program is a one room school house program bringing together kids in the age ranges of Kindergarten to 5th grade. Children meet for large group instruction and then separate into age appropriate groups for individualized group instruction. The children’s Sunday School classroom is attached to the Young Adult/Young Family classroom to encourage free flowing instruction and involvement from parent to child.
Weekly Bible Study
This Bible Study is a “pericope” study. A “pericope” study is a Bible study on the lessons assigned for the upcoming Sundays. We explore lessons from the Old Testament and New Testament, working to understand what they meant for the original audience and what it means for us today. And a fun thing – sometimes our discussion ends up as part of the sermon for that Sunday! This class meets in the Choir Room at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Augsburg Adult Bible Studies
The Augsburg adult class meets and explores the different books of the Bible and how they influence and interact in our lives. The current class is studying “God, the Holy Spirit” and the different books of the Bible that speak about the Holy Spirit. This lay led class meets in Room 204 every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
