Bible Studies

Adult Bible Study

This Bible Study is a “pericope” study. A “pericope” study is a Bible study on the lessons assigned for the upcoming Sundays. We explore lessons from the Old Testament and New Testament, working to understand what they meant for the original audience and what it means for us today.  And a fun thing – sometimes our discussion ends up as part of the sermon for that Sunday! This class meets in the Choir Room at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

“Young Adult” Bible Study

St. Paul Lutheran Church in collaboration with St. John Episcopal Church on the Square has formed a young adult / young professional / young family bible study program that is inclusive to people between the ages of post-college to adults with teenagers (pre-college) – ages 22 to 40+. Join us for a weekly Bible Study using the She Reads Truth and companion He Reads Truth series. Learn more about our weekly Bible Study.

Thursday Bible Study

Each Thursday we take an indepth look at the upcoming Sunday lessons – and sometimes the group even influences the sermon for that week. Everyone is welcome to join this Bible study.

Augsburg Adult Bible Studies

The Augsburg adult class meets and explores the different books of the Bible and how they influence and interact in our lives.  The current class is studying “God, the Holy Spirit” and the different books of the Bible that speak about the Holy Spirit. This lay led class meets in Room 204 every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
